Marged Pendrell has been working on a timeline flotilla of small vessels for Ports, Past and Present, highlighting chosen times and narratives throughout the history of Holyhead’s connection to Ireland.

She reflects on selected periods in time and the boats of the period in a series of short illustrated articles.

As an extension to the flotilla, Marged is engaging groups within the community to collaborate and create a textile work on a large scale, ‘Cwch Caergybi’. This will be based on, and in response to, their contemporary lives and histories of the port town.
