Jacob Whittaker and Peter Stevenson have worked together on many film-based projects over the years. Jacob is a sound artist and filmmaker, and Peter Stevenson is a writer, illustrator and folklorist.
For the Ports Past and Present project they are making a film and a book about the space between Wales and Ireland, focusing on the people who earn their living on the water, particularly those on and around the ferry. They aim to give a voice to those more marginalised individuals and forgotten everyday voices, seeking out lesser known and overlooked stories and creating a film that weaves together the visuals of their world with their voices, poetry, sounds, songs and music, old and new.
